Asphalt reinforcements                     Asphalt reinforcements are developed to prevent or delay the reflection cracking of asphalt road, they are used to be an integral part of new-builds or rehabilitation in road construction, help to reduce and disperse asphalt road surface stress, further prevent water damage, significantly extend the service life of new pavement layers.

Asphalt reinforcement is a kind of geocomposites, it is made by stitching high-strength fibers and non-woven fabric. The high strength fibers can be fiberglass, basalt fiber, polyester fiber, or others, non-woven fabrics can be polyester or polypropylene. Among them, the most widely used one is fiberglass stitched with PP non-woven.

Asphalt reinforcement combines the excellent reinforcing properties of high-strength fibers with optimum liquid asphalt retention capacity of non-woven fabric. The non-woven fabric that absorbs asphalt forms a waterproof layer,which prevent moisture from penetrating into the road structure.

Compared to conventional construction methods, new-builds or road rehabilitation with asphalt reinforcement benefits from shorter installation times, less materials.
